Pricey to Run

When most people go out and purchase a vehicle, they are obviously concerned with the price of that vehicle, and perhaps the payment they'll be making for years to come. However, what many often don't think about is how expensive that vehicle will be to own, even though costs like insurance, maintenance, and other operating expenses can easily add up to a significant amount of money. In that regard, these seven Ford trucks are among the priciest to repair, according to data from RepairPal

2017 Ford F-250

First up, we have the 2017 Ford F-250, which has an average annual repair cost of $1,193, with an average individual repair cost of $1,074 and $1,312. This particular pickup has been the subject of 15 recalls as well, but has just one common issue, according to owners - if the driveline angle is out of adjustment, it can cause the vehicle to shudder when accelerating from a stop.

2015 Ford F-250

Next up, we have the 2015 Ford F-250, which has an annual average repair cost of $1,299, with a range of between $1,169 and $1,429. However, it has just two recalls, though five common issues - leaky radiators, turbo hoses that tend to blow off, high-pressure oil pump failure, DPF problems, diesel engines that will crank but won't start, and a blower motor that tends to only work on the high setting.

2010 Ford F-250

The 2010 Ford F-250 has an average annual repair cost of $1,176, with a range between $1,059 and $1,294. It has been the subject of five recalls, and owners report that they've experienced a whopping 10 common issues - radiator leaks, failed EGR valves, turbo hose failure, high-pressure oil pump failure, spark plugs that eject from the heads, DPF problems, diesel engines that crank but won't start, noises from the engine upon startup, a blower motor that only works on high, shuddering when accelerating from a stop, and A/C fan speed changing erratically.

2011 Ford F-250

As for the 2011 Ford F-250, it has an average annual repair cost of $1,240, with an average individual repair cost of between $1,116 and $1,364. This model has been subjected to two recalls and has three common problems - radiator leaks, EGR valves that lead to smoke being emitted from the tailpipes, and high-pressure oil pump failure.

2009 Ford F-250

The 2009 Ford F-250 has an average annual repair cost of $1,241, with an average individual repair cost of between $1,116 and $1,365. It has five total recalls thus far, along with 9 common problems reported by owners - failed EGR valves, leaky radiators, DPF woes, diesel engines that won't start, noises upon startup, rear sliding glass failure, blower motors that only work on high, shuddering when accelerating from a stop, and A/C fan speeds that change constantly.

2019 Ford F-350

The 2019 Ford F-350 has an average annual repair cost of $1,304 and has thus far been the subject of a whopping 15 recalls, though interestingly, has no common issues listed at RepairPal at the moment, though it does have a less-than-stellar reliability rating of 1.5, anyway.

2014 Ford F-250

Finally, we have the 2014 Ford F-250, which has an average annual repair cost of $1,314, with an individual repair range between $1,183 and $1,445. This pickup has a total of five recalls under its belt, along with four reported problems - coolant leaks from the radiator, turbo hoses that blow off, high-pressure oil pump failure, and diesel engines that will crank but won't start.
