2021 Ford F-150 Buyers Can Enjoy a Discount at Launch
However, there are some attractive offers on the way for those looking to purchase one.
Buy, Don't Lease
As the 2021 Ford F-150 is a brand new vehicle, we certainly weren't expect to find any screaming deals on the 14th generation pickup when it starts hitting dealer lots. And that appears to be the case, at least in terms of lease deals, according to CarsDirect. However, there are some attractive discounts for F-150 retail shoppers, as the site noted after getting their hands on a dealer bulletin.

Big Savings
Even though it will obviously be brand new at launch, buyers will be able to save up to $3,000 on a 2021 F-150. That is if they go with an XLT trim, which gives them savings in the form of a $500 customer cash rebate, a $1,000 financing bonus for taking out a loan with Ford Credit, and a $1,500 bonus specifically for the XLT trim. The $500 deal is available on all trim levels, regardless.

Built-In Credit
Certain options also carry built-in credits that make them more attractive for purchase. That includes the XLT with the Co-Pilot 360 2.0 active safety suite, which results in $2,250 in savings. However, none of the offers CarsDirect came across related to leasing, at least not for now.

Percentage Points
As far as APRs go, Ford is offering some attractive ones as well. The lowest at launch will be 2.9%, but is limited to 36 months. Those who want to lower their payment can spread things out a little further in exchange for a higher rate - 48, 60, and 72, and 84-month options are available at 3.9%, 4.9%, 6.9%, and 8.9% respectively.

Expensive Loan
As CarsDirect points out, taking the longest, 84-month financing deal on a $50,000 truck results in a roughly $800 per month payment, which is attractive to some buyers, but it also means that they'll be paying a whopping $17,361 in interest over the life of the loan.

Cost to Be First
Obviously, these deals aren't what anyone would call "great," but this is a brand new truck we're talking about. Smart shoppers typically wait until the end of the model year to score massive discounts, which on the F-150 routinely top out at around $15,000 off the sticker price. There is a big cost to be the first to own something, after all.

Plenty of Time
But if you must be among the first to own a new F-150, these deals are scheduled to end on January 4, 2021. So at least you'll be able to score some sort of discount on the 14th gen pick up when it arrives soon.
