2025 Ram HD Reveal

But, what they look like is secondary to how they perform.
If they still have the same old cab, and same old tired 6-speed automatic transmissions, then who cares.

It’s not really much of a change to an already dated (but good) looking truck. Ram’s best selling feature is the occasional/frequent fire sales if price is your number one objective (and ok I like the look without the Ford & GM steps).
Not really sure why they are not moving to the new bigger cab that’s already been out for 5 years.

If they make it in pink, I'd name mine Wilbur. Looks like a pig face to me. Don't get me wrong, I like a RAM truck. My FIL has a 1 ton dually - good truck, sounds great (although it's a little loud). But I'll choose a Ford SuperDuty 10 times out of 10 right now. My second choice, if I had 11 chances, would be a GMC.

Cost. I can't see them retooling the stamping plant in Saltillo to make 5th gen cabs down there when 4th gen Ram bodies are still working fine. The 5th gen bodies were beefed up for crash testing reasons but >8500lb GVWR trucks don't have to follow the passenger vehicle metrics.

They don't look much different than the current model if I'm remembering right.
Nothing wrong with carrying over the current cab. Makes for backwards compatibility and a much broader year range if one is looking for parts. It keeps costs down as well, even though it's not passed on to the buyer.
6spd would be fine with me too.
I got half a mind to trade in my F350 if there are amazing deals to be had on the leftover '24 Rams. Delete and tune it right out of the gate which I should have done with my 2016.

There is talk of putting an 8 speed behind the SO CTD, but it can't handle the torque as yet from what I understand.
It would be GREAT if they updated the crew cab to be the same dimensions as the 1500 crew cab (which is about 4" longer, we had both so I measured to be sure). It would be nice to have an actual flat floor in the back as well (again, the 1500 has it, almost exactly like the F150 and SD's do).
Personally I'm not a fan of the new headlight layout. Looks too GM to me. BUT I do prefer my truck to not have the front corner bed steps...even though they are mighty handy on my FIL's truck for reaching the front of the box.
