Might as well get this started.
!996 F250 XLT 7.3L PSD 4x4 SRW with alloy wheels and spare wheel, hub covers, other spare parts AND both powertrain + chassis shop manuals were included.
Bought in Dec. 2019 for $9k with only 113k miles on it. First thing was fix the brakes. Cracked rotors and smoked pads in front. All new shocks cause one each front and rear shock were seized up. Went with Monroe gas magnums then, but since then 3 1/2 yrs later found those don't last either. Usual maintenance since then.
Until now that is.
Oil pan was leaking all over. LPOP was leaking at timing cover. Cab mounts were sagging & creaking. Steering was all over the place on the highway. Brake lines were rusted to point of breaking at the line nuts, rubber lines had never been replaced when I had had a local shop do the brakes. Their excuse was that I had brought them "internet parts" from RA. Really?
Started with raising the cab with 2x4s for mounts, then trans & engine so pan could be dropped. Replaced pan with a Spectra made in Canuctada & a Moroso gasket kit.
Replaced pickup tube seal at timing cover & hot tanked pickup tube to get gunk out.
Rebuilt oil cooler with Mahle o-ring/gskt kit after hot tanking original tube 3 times to get sludge out. Replaced OF end with later model one cause PRV had come un-staked.
Replaced LPOP with Melling unit & "harmonic balancer" with a Dayco PB1492DP unit. Considered a Fluidamper but didn't want to space fan out further forward. Will see how the Dayco does.
Dropped midship fuel tank so fast fill mod & new strainer could get done too.
Replaced ALL hard brake lines with kit from inlinetube, rubber lines from RA. New engine & trans mounts as well while it was up off the frame.
Replaced front leaf spring & pivot bushings, outer tie rod ends, lower steering shaft, KYB Gas-a-just front shocks(until later).
Replaced front Dana50 diff with 4.10 one after new pinion, carrier shims, seals & brgs AND a Yukon locker. More on this later.
All new 5-178X front axle u-joints while it was apart. Put 6x1.0mm x 8L set screws in place of zerks in outer joints.
More later.

Dana 50 coast pattern
RA. Westar EM2764 & 2765 L&R mounts. Not premium stuff but they fit well.

During front diff gear change & rebuild I took precaution to check brg preloads and backlash. As it was a used Dana 50ttb pumpkin, lower preloads were expected, BUT, not 16 in-lbs total and 3 in-lbs pinion. Backlash was .010-.011". Pinion brg cups were gray with wear & inner pinion shield was mangled from loose pinion nut in the past. Must've been used hard for plowing snow(?)
inner pinion shield
For those that don't know, carrier can be pushed out by stuffing a shop rag between the gears & turning the pinion. Shop manual says to use a spreader but mine is on loan for a bigger diff rebuild. Did carrier brg preload/backlash setup with same shim stacks under each cone. Pinion preload with new brgs was 19 in-lbs & total preload 35 in-lbs, backlash .010" with good pattern on coast side of RG.

Got that Yukon locker, brgs & shims from ronsmachiningservice in PA. In case anyone here wants to know.
Ron's Mach Svc
With that Yukon locker the RH inner stub retaining clip can't be used to hold it in. Solution is to put a YSPSPR-001 or similar length spring in between RH axle & inside the inner yoke.

While building the 50ttb front axle shafts I noticed the 5-178X u-joint zerks were a little too close to outer stub yokes at full turn. Found some alternate grease fittings at McMaster-Carr to use.
hex zerks
Wish I had thought of that earlier. Coulda used them for drivers side inboard joint as well. Oh well.
And the front axle joints were dry as a popcorn f**t
