I'm new and don't know what to do!


Anyone know what this plug is for? Found it tucked under the air intake pipe not clipped in, lmk thanks drove it 4.5 hours home like this after i bought it. 97 7.3

Possible EBPV connector, most dont use it since it make a hissing sound when starting up.

If you decide to keep it off or even go with the deleted pedestal that quite a few use Riff Raff diesel sell a plugin https://www.riffraffdiesel.com/ebp-p...pigtail-94-97/
It will stop you from throwing code. I use one because I cant stand CEL lights or stored codes.

NO CEL is shown on OBS, there will be a code when scanning

SD does need a resistor or you get CEL

Deleted pedastal is a PITA unless you taking the turbo off for some reason, mine is on a shelf still for 7+ years

IMO, remove down pipe at turbo, grind off the two rivets and remove the flapper valve is a simpler method to remove it.

I ended up wiring mine open with a coat hanger, took 2 minutes and done. Mine will close even with electrical connector removed.

I did the deleted ped years ago. Did efuel, DP, Up pipes, drop in turbo swap, all at the same time.

Buy some fresh fuel return pressure lines also, they run about $100 from Riffraff. 100% OBOD are bad news. Verify master cylinder pressure switch update performed. HD glow relay smart too.
