Edelbrock sells a great EFI 5.8 truck intake. But its $600. It comes with the upper and lower intake.

The windsor has enough airflow I forgot to mention I put on a performance airfilter assembly aswell. As for the intake system I had one on my summit wishlist but they are pretty costly for my truck. In the long run it will be cheaper for me to pull the small block setup out and install the big block setup rather than putting even more money into it to almost equal the power of the 460. I belive this 351 windsor would have more potential in my mustang because its a relativly light car and when im not hauling anything with my truck its very nice. I would really like to find an older 7.3 powerstroke but money is rather tight right now so i gotta work with what I got. Any ideas on a good fuel pressure regulator? I do alot of dealing through summit racing. Installing a pressure regulator sounds alot simpler than pulling my electric pumps plus would still enable me to use both fuel tanks with ease.

I've used the aeromotive regulator a few times on my efi to carb swaps.
Just need to wire the pumps to come on with the key afterwards.
I have an 87 with a carb 460 and zf5 with 410 gears. It's my do-all mega awesome severe duty anything goes work truck. It's got a warmed up 460 and it's just a brute. I think you'll be happy with it. Id put it up against my superduty 7.3 anyday (and that's no slouch)

I will have to look into them aeromotive regulators, thanks for the tips buddy!

i have this on mine, worth every penny!

For the fuel options, I'd keep the electrical fuel pumps and run both lines into one into a regulator. That'll let you keep the reliability and ease of dual electric tanks and the tuning of a regulator. You'll also be able to increase the pressure if the 460 gets any extra goods.

The Borg Warner t case I got from my small block, will my yoke from the rear driveshaft fit into the big blocks Borg Warner t case? everything looks close but cant tear it apart yet to check since I dont have all the parts i need to attemp this swap yet and i still use truck daily. Im most likely going to do this swap within this coming weekend, just making sure im not overlooking any parts i may need. Thanks for all the answers throughout the previous posts guys its much appriciated!

hey im thinking about doing this swap too. take pics and do a write up . i have a perfomance out 87 f350 and i want to transfer the carb 460, OD auto-tranny and what ever else i need from the truck to a 89-92 single cab f150 or f250 on a buget. actully what years and ford truck models (single cab) other than the 92 f150 can i easy swap this in with with very little work .( cant weld but i can unbolt and bolt )

Bigblock OD auto trans are computer controlled. So with a carb motor from the 87 you'll need a standalone controller.
The f150 will need some modifying to get the 460 into but the f250 will be nearly bolt in with the frame horns from the 87 truck.
