Could someone tell me if the lift gate for a pre-1990 Bronco II will fit the 1990 model? I have just purchased a project vehicle and the lift gate needs to be replaced. Thanks.

 

I think they are all the same. The spare tire rack changed at some point, and some had rear defrost, wiper, or the rear window opens, but other than that, from 84 to 90, I think they are all the same.

I agree with Jker...I think most liftgates are the same. I went a little further and added a external tire carrier to my 90 B2...had to do some notching and a little trimming but now I have 2 spares, a fullsize outside and a 'donut' inside!

 

yes they will all fit. My friend just put a gate form a 90 on an 87. The only differance is that some are fiberglass.
