cruise-o-matic to C-6 conversion

I've got a 390 in my 66 f250. I kept the MX C-O-M when I did the swap but 1 yr later this is leaky, loose and tired. Considering a C-6 swap.

Opinions on cleanup/rebuild of the MX versus C-6? Any gottcha's or whatchits?

Good luck trying to find someone who rebuild the COM. Parts are getting hard to come by. I couldn't find anyone willing to touch mine. I would find a C6 and do the swap. It's an easy swap. You will need to drill 2 new holes for the crossmember as it sits further back. The transmission mount for the C6 and the COM are the same. You will need to run transmission lines from the C6 to the radiator. The hardest part of the swap is getting a new driveshaft made. I did away with the 2-piece shaft and had a new 1-piece shaft made for just over $200.
