psi compression for 300 i6???

I need the compression numbers for the 300 i6? I've heard 150-160psi??? anyone know what the acceptable range is???

oops... i'm looking for the 1986 300 I6 numbers... I'll post in the right forum above... unless anyone knows the answer here???

the 150 mark sounds about right, but try within 25% of the highest number when you do the compression test

well i've heard they can be as high as 180psi... I know all the cylinders should be close to the same psi to run well... I am looking at a old truck with a supposed 65K on a rebuild... I am always on the skeptical side so i wanted to do the compression test to be sure. I just need the engine out of this truck and it runs... but if i'm going to be buying the truck strickly for the engine i want to make sure it's going to be a "good transplant" before I buy it...
