I was just wondering if your truck has been good since the new fuel pump ,
I have a 99 5.4 and have had the same conditions for a while and figured it is the pump just have not had the cash for it.

 

Yes, so far my truck has been fine, running great. I'm not sure what part number pump your truck would take or I'd look, but the cheapest I could find for mine was through amazon. Ford stealership wanted over $500 just for the pump, NOT including labor. You may want to save a few bucks and get a fuel pump from autozone or advanced or some auto parts store but from all of my research DON'T DO IT, they burn out faster. Only get a Factory oem pump. do not get the az or advance pump. I put one in a 02 van one time on a weekend and had to change it just about every 3 months until the fourth one that finally held on.
