What did you do to the X today?
That's because I bought a pile and have done nothing but work on it for months......to turn it into the beast it was underneath all the neglect. Ironic thing is if I had found this forum before I bought it man o man would it have saved me some money, blood sweat and foul language. Real kudos go to the people who have been here for years and still take the time to help out new people like me! I think we need to take Riggers up on her offer and all meet in nice warm Texas for a bbq! It's freaking cold here right now and I am personally sick of it already and it's only January.
I changed my spark plugs in 20* weather outside. It was 10-15* when I redid my whole exhaust system in the driveway. It's bib cover all and sweat shirt weather for me.
Me personally would rather put more cloths on than not be able to take any off. Lol much over 80* almost kills me.
Can't be all that cold where ur at..

Yesterday I went to take the X to work, but it would crank strong and not fire. So after a few attempts I gave up and took the Fusion. Pretty sure the fuel pump wasn't coming on, so I assumed that I might have a bad pump.
Last night after I got home I went through the no-start diagnostic checklist, and one of the steps involved disconnecting the TPS and measuring voltage at the harness. I did that, the voltage checked out, and reconnected the TPS. The next step was to check for a fluctuating PIP value from the PCM while cranking...and when I went to crank it fired right up!
I can now definitely hear the fuel pump cycle on and off when I turn the key, as well as the audible click of the relay that I didn't hear when it wouldn't start. So I think I may have a bad fuel pump relay, and I hope to find time to mess with it further this weekend.
