What did you do to the X today?
I can top that! $8.60 for diesel and $8.40 for gas................and we don't get any discount for using more as I run trucks for a living - we're only a small family company but still use about 20,000 litres a week
And it's close to freezing, but only rain/slush - with not much chance of getting warmer, or getting snow to play in...................the joys of England lol
At least I can look out of my window and see my Ex

But your country is very beautiful to visit, just need to plan to do things in the rain, because if you wait for a dry day, you may not do anything...

Yes, yes, I had to park right where I could see it. I was trying to formulate a plan for fixing it, but every plan was a little crazy. I mean, I have a couple of spare ones.... Maybe that one was broken? Is it just the nut missing? Will I get caught if I go over there and crawl under their EX? lol. Will they think I've lost it? What if I just stay here and make sure they notice it? What if it's just some chick who doesn't notice such things? I've known women who manage to completely destroy cars not noticing such obvious sounds, pulls, you get the point! But alas, I just drove home and tried to make myself forget......don't think on it! lol
I understand your pain. My wife and I (newly weds at the time) were stationed with the US Navy in Holy Loch, Scotland from 1990 to 1992 when the deactivated the base, ans shipped everything home. The weather here in Kodiak, Alaska is very similar to the weather in Scotland, though we do get a bit more snow than Dunoon did. In the early 1990's we were paying the equivalent of $6 per gallon in the Highlands, and $4.50 to $5 per gallon in the towns. That is converted to US Gallons vice Imperial Gallons, but I do understand! We drove a 1976 Saab then, as our American cars were too costly to insure and to drive in Scotland, not to mention that the Left hand right hand thing was also a pain... Being 25 at the time didnt help the insurance thing either...

And yeah, I used 3.78 litres to convert into a US gallon instead of 4.546 for Imperial gallon, then used $1.6 to £1...............did it a few times as thought it must be wrong hahahaha!
Joking aside it is a great place to live - My Wife and I do say even if we win the lotto, we'd still live here, and just travel places in the school holidays! We've visited the USA a lot over the years, not so much the last few years due to flight prices and 3 kids getting older and more expensive (13,11, and 8) and we're both still fairly young (33 and 32) so there's always stuff to buy for the house etc........but when we do start flying places again Alaska is on our list!

Oh snuggling. waaaaaaaaaah. Oh well, got my tire FINALLY. The guy sat my keys down before checking me out and and didn't realize it. He kept saying he gave them to me, I'm like no you didn't, maybe you have cameras in here and you can look and see if you can follow them..........3 hrs later someone figured out they sat them on top of their coke machine! I was started to get really perturbed because they kept trying to say they gave them to me! Then I finally remembered to look under my truck on the way home because it was swaying a lot again when I stop, and the rear sway bar is hanging. Did he have to disconnect that when he fixed the tank wires and dropped the tank?
