I'd Seafoam & replace your o2 sensor. How to Seafoam an Eighth Gen F150 (1987-1991) - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans

It sounds like it's functioning. Wouldn't hurt to remove & clean it so it's not hanging in the valve transitions.

we pulled it off and cleaned it real good. it was all black before but now we can see some color and the actual metal part. i havent got to drive it yet. im going to take it to a dealership a day and have all the codes ran on it because the light is still popping on every now and then but its not showing any codes that the smaller computers can read.

I just replaced my IAC about two weeks ago. fairly simple change, but sounds like you are kinda having same prob as me. the throttle jumps up and down when you are slowing down and when you add some fuel to it it stops and idles normal. i have yet to find the solution, but my next steps are to change the throttle position sensor and the map sensor if needed. I checked all vaccum lines and everything else and have went over and over trying to find the problem with no luck so I am hoping my next steps help. Post if you have any luck and what you did as will I.

well i was going to take my truck to the dealer and have a complete diagnostic test done on my truck that would tell me what all sensors need changed and what bot but when i called them today i got the same answer i got from all the other auto part stores that have code readers. "unless your lights on we cant read anything and since its a 95 we couldnt read it anyway" my light comes on and goes off alot but it never stays on steadily and none of the auto part stores can read it. i had my friends dad who is a mechanic run the codes on it and he said it wasnt showing anything and usually the computer will let him into the memory to show what codes have beeen shown but he said ford had it blocked or something
mine idles fine. its when im going along and start to lose momentum that i give it gas and it starts jumping. and then i give it more gas and it changes gears and it quits. other times i give it gas to change gears and it wont do it. i literally have to put my foot to the floor and then it will finally jump to 5000rpm and take off.

You don't need a code reader to pull codes from the memory of an OBDI truck. A Haynes book will tell you how, or someone will come along and link you to a page on here that tells you how, and which I can't seem to find right now.

i had a chevy mechanic tell me it was probably either the iac or the maf sensor. thats y i cleaned them both. im probably going to take a day and try running the codes myself. ive had alot of people tell me the oxygen sensors too. its kind of like it isnt getting enough fuel or air. but it doesnt do it all the time either. some times it runs perfectly fine and others it runs liek crap.
