1990 F350 7.3 Navistar fuse location

1990 F350 96K, 7.3 Navistar, automatic.

Messed up and ran out of gas. Put in 10 gallons.

Dash lights go out and no sound at all when key turned.

I can't find the other set of fuses.

This truck has the Banks turbo system.

might be a bad starter relay. you dont notice the glow plugs clicking on? you can always jump the starter solenoid too to see if thats it. first, looking at the fender mounted solenoid, the post on the left that the battery hooks to, jump that to the first from the left small post. if it starts cranking then its not the relay. if it doesnt, then jump from one big post to another (use a jumper cable) if it cranks then its the solenoid. if it doesnt then it could be the second solenoid on top of the starter.

also, the switches that the key activates inside the steering column go bad. that might be the issue as well.

Thanks for replying.

The interior light will come on, but no console lights. When I turn the key nothing happens, nothing at all. The wait light, no clicks, no nothing.

I can't seem to find the fuse access under the hood. Is it possible that when the Banks system was installed it was moved?

like i said, there isnt one under the hood. its in the cab, under the dash on the left side of the steering column. there will be 4 plastic ***** you turn 1/4 turn counter clockwise and the panel will come down.

I found those. So I guess I need to start looking at relays. I've only had this truck about six months, first time I've ran out've gas. Do you think I've messed something up?

diesel, not gas lol. And no. It happens. As far as your electrical issue it's not related. What else besides the dash lights don't work? Headligts ok? Fuel gauge work? Try what I suggested with the solenoids and report back what happens. We can go from there.

Does anyone know of relays that might be affiliated with the exciter wire on the alternator?
