Notching oil pan 4inches/V10 89F150

I'm in the process of putting a V10 into a 1989 F150 and I need to either get another oil pan or notch the one I have. The engine is 2V from a E350 and the sump needs to be about 4 inches back. I have a mig welder so I might just have to make my own unless someone has a better idea?? Here's the build thread I have going on in the "Engine Swap" area.V10 89F150 buildthread - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

Take a look at my thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...2000-f350.html the 4x4 pan moves the pick-up tube back when compared to the Van. Besides the thread I have more pictures in my album you can view. Hope it helps!

Mr-Pipeline, Thanks a whole lot!!! That was the info I was looking for. That thread is amazing, lots and lots of info. Now I just have to find a 4x4 oil pan and tube around here.

Finally, somebody is doing this swap! Back in 2005, I pitched this idea of putting a V10 into an older Ford pickup, after seeing an ad for 1990 F-series pickups featuring a blue&white F-150 4x4. They(Off-Road) printed the letter, so I guess they liked the idea! Good luck with the project. Let's see some pictures of it when completed, huh?
