Go to this website and see if it brings up anymore junkyards you haven't already called.
Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market

Some junkyards don't list everything they have on the site, so you may have to pretend to look for a fender or something, and at least that will tell you they do or did have that certain truck in the yard.

How much of your harness is melted? Maybe it can be repaired.

It seems to be pretty well melted together at this point. We were lucky that it didn't cause more damage.

I'd have an auto-electrician (if that's what you call the trade in the U.S.) look at it -
I would be surprised if it can't be repaired from your description (sounds like localized damage).

I had exactly the same fault with a home-done, previous-owner, stereo job in my 83 too......fortunately I just had fuses blow & lost my dash lights.

1983 F250: There are SIX different dash wiring harnesses! All are 1983 only.

The differences: With or without oil and amp gauges, with or without 460 engine, with or without 6.9L diesel engine, with or without dual fuel tanks.

Once the correct harness is determined, it fits 1983 F100/350, not just F250's....but Bronco is not the same.

There he is ... NumberDummy ... How ya feeling??

Welp, That really narrows the search ... '83 harness is unique.

460 with dual tanks ... Gauges or Idjit lights??

I'd get online and start calling every salvage yard I could find, regardless of where they are located.

The biggest problem I see is most salvage yards will NOT spend the time it takes to pull out a harness, at least pull it out in one piece.

Something for y'all to consider, If you find one in another part of the country, ask on here, maybe a local to it member will do the foot work for ya!

-Enjoy

I suggest learning how to solder and use heat-shrink tubing.
