Question 2wd lift or leveling kits?

I have searched and searched threads.. Is there any kits or maybe some tricks to level the front end of a 73 f100 2wd? Spacers? longer springs? I just need 2 inches.. Like to hear from anyone that has lifted there 2wd or knows any info on this..
Thanks

Well first off welcome to FTE. I too was looking for a 2wd lift kit but found out that you cant lift the front end of a 2wd because the i beams have the caster built in to them. lift the front end and your caster is so out of whack. but you can try autofab.com. they specialize in lifting 2wd ford trucks. the only problem is that there cheapest 3inch kit for the f100 is $750. there are also threads on here of people putting in taller springs, usually newer superduty ones and bending there beams to correct the caster.

Why not just lower the rear to level it? A lot cheaper! NO, I am NOT trying to be a smart ***! I think they are too tall to start with . . . at least my '78 was!

Try putting in a set of new springs. Some people have reported as much as 2" of front end lift just by installing new springs due to the old ones sagging from age. Unfortunately a stated before the only other option is www.autofab.com. There stuff is expensive but it is quality stuff. I purchsed one of there long travel systems second hand from a guy out her in CA and it looks sturdy and well built, gave me 5" of front end lift also. If you want further info there is a post by a member named ChaseTruck on this board who is doing a prerunner build on one of these trucks. He knows some guys who do some cool fabwork also. Maybe just a quick PM to him could get you some answers to cheaper alternatives.
