just to clarify... we did the head gaskets and the heads. put the cab back on. i drove it like 2 KM, and it was bubbling in the DEGAS bottle.... 2 km, do you think the oil cooler could do anything like that, that fast....?

yes I know the oil cooler can. so can a stuck turbo.

Okay, did I read this right? You mean to tell me you did all this work, including replacing the EGR cooler and the head bolts with studs (and heads machined) but DIDN'T replace/rebuild the oil cooler?

yup. was told if it wasnt leaking oil, not to bother... I dont know everything... or very much about these diesels... but from what i know now... apparently not doing the oil cooler was a mistake haha

alllllright...

Finally got around to fixing the old girl.. lucky i have a sunfire haha

new EGR, new oil cooler. new gaskets bla bla..

fired it up... mint. no more bubbles in the bottle. happy. EXCPET that the machine shop musta jerked me on the heads..

but its done... what can ya do.

also my new oil pan valve and coolant filter arrived today.

Fun times... thanks guys.
