I even have pics LOL...I drilled it a bunch and with a chisel broke it..Used slide hammer to get pieces out. What happens is white corroded aluminum and rust possibly.

Good Lord! I was hoping to avoid doing that but after a can of PB Blaster it seems as stuck as ever. I was thinking about trying to use a slide hammer attached to a vice grip. I'm probably just delaying the inevitable. Something tells me that a drill and chisel are in my future. Thanks to everyone for the replies.

PaSandman we are in the same boat, chisel party!!

I am thinking of replacing the bearing hub assemblies and ball joints while I am in there, I plow with this truck and it needs a major overhaul

I drilled this afternoon took me 2 hours i got the hub out, it was frozen in there good. Now the drivers side, i can get to wiggle but I still cant get it out. I bought some huge pliers that fit around it.

My passengers side Bearing assembly is shot, who makes a decent but afordable one for use with snow plowing.

The trick was the slide pull, I do not know my approach on the next one since it is wiggling but it refuses to come out.

Yes I used a slide hammer i drilled some 5/16 holes all over to weaken it, cracked it into smaller pieces then drilled 1/8" hole and threaded a screw into it and pulled it, once you get a piece or 2 out the larger chunk comes out in the same manner, i did the drivers side this morning took me a half hour, still needed to drill and crack it but you casn see for the most part it came out in 1 piece. Its not as bad of a job as you think.
