Rough Idle and Stalling

I have a 79 Ford F150 XLT. It has been setting up for a while. When I start it now it idles rough. It will idle rough (not smooth) while it is cold but soon as it warms up it stalls. I can start it again but it will stall. I can keep it from stalling by pressing the gas pedal down and increasing the rpms while it is running. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated? Thanks, tech

I'd be checking for vacuum leaks and proper choke operation.

You may need a carb rebuild. Arter sitting, the gaskets dry out and leak vaccume. Not to mention the varnish build up from the old gas sitting there. It needs to be done, so I would start there.
