6.(uh)oh intake retrofit..

I dont know if I am having problems with the search today or what, but I would like a little info on the 6.oh intake retrofit air filter assembly. I know only a few people have it, and Im interested in finding out how hard they found the install was.

Every time I have to change my air filter I contemplate the 6637, the ais and afe stage 2's, and each time I keep thinking that something with a reuseable filter would be best but...

Just do the 6637 Sheldy -- if you don't like it, you're only out $30 or so. If you don't like the other setups, you're out a heck of a lot more. And I doubt you wouldn't like it, unless you don't like hearing the turbo noises.

From what I have seen, the biggest thing you have to do is turn the battery sideways.

There are some pictures of it in this thread....https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...for-7-3-a.html

Thats the biggest thing Ive noticed too Jeff, which is really nothing.

Joe, up here they want around 60 bucks for the 6637. Thats why I keep getting normal ones, they are only about 22.

Not sure if I for sure want to do this mod, but I did want to look into it a little. Thanks for the link clux, thats what I was looking for!

rebelchevy says it's an easy deal if you buy the 6.0 battery tray as well.

Gotta remember, I live in the great white north, everytime I want to get something shipped up here, it usually costs me around the same anyways!

I just picked up a 6.0 intake today for $35 with new filter.

I will try to post some pics and help out.

I also have a AIS with fender sleeve available

Great white north or not, call Clay. You'd be surprised at what he can do. Also, if you want an aftermarket intake check out the S&B. If I weren't running the 6637, thats the route I would go.
