I'm in Ohio I have a stock behind the seat tank for a 76 F-250. They are all the same 73-77. If you need one let me know.

There were two in-cab fuel tanks used 1973/77, not one.

D3TZ9002F .. 18 Gallon In-Cab Fuel Tank / Use with Evaporative Emission System / Obsolete

D3TZ9002G .. 19 Gallon In-Cab Fuel Tank / Use without Evaporative Emission System / Obsolete

The Evap Emission tank has a coffee can sized hole in it, for the fuel vapor valve to fit into.

If the one from Damstr8 won't work I have 2 here in NJ, one from 74 f250 and the other is still in my 77 f250, soon to be removed, so now you have choices!!

You'd know...for sure...if you lived in the People's Republic of Kalifornia.

When it comes to smog related crap, be thankful you don't live in CA!

Cuz...if you lived in CA, your 1976 F250 would have to pass a smog test in order to register it for the following year.

And...CA does not issue waivers if emissions related parts are obsolete. It's fix it...or park it.

Welcome to California!

Ok so I get it now, In a matter of semantics where front means rear, up means down and wrong is right what does a Pinto gas tank have to do with my highboy truck in which the gas tank will be 12 inches abouve the rear end, or is that the front end

I'd say you won't have a problem at all with a tank mounted under the bed. I suppose ND was looking out for your safety, as the Ford Pinto's gas tank explosion problem was devastating.

I wouldnt be worrying about that tank exploding. If you were hit hard enough to crumple the entire rear end, you would probably suffer from severe neck injuries!! There are no crumple zones, so ANY and ALL force exerted on the truck will be instantly exerted on you too. So if you survive a crash that crumples the entire rear end (+frame), you wouldn't want to be alive anyway.

After reading the results of applying bedliner material to concrete barriers, I've oft wondered if this would help all tanks regardless of location.

Theres a product out there , can't remember the name of it though, for repairing the inside of fuel tanks. It is a two or three part mix that you dump into the tank, after removing the tank and preping it of course. I guess you roll the tank around for awhile to coat the entire inside of the tank and as it sets it completely seals the tank from the inside. I use to work with a fella years ago that used this product on his Corvette. I'll see if I can hunt him down and see what the stuff is called and how it's holding up.

I used some stuff from jc whitney on a motorcycle tank that was rusted inside and it held up good it is 2 part, 1st step cleaner/prep and then a ceramic mix that 'coats' the tank interior, price it out see what it cost and if it is too much buy the tank from Damstr8 or me and just swap it out
