Would I be best to get this from a junk yard or are there any good aftermarket places to get one from. 1990 F350 5speed...oh and need new shift ****. Thinking of getting something unique for that, any suggestions??

there's 2 different 5 spds, both shifters are different. pull up the shift boot, and snap us a picture so we know what you have. also send a picture of the damage to the shifter, mabe it can be repaired.

How do you bend a shifter? Was his girlfriend getting super freaky or something and got carried away?

Hes got the ZF S5-42 5 speed. Go to a junkyard, and find another F250 or F350 from 88-93ish. They will have the one that you need.

I want a spare shifter to put under the seat, for, um, oh yeah, checking tire pressure. Yeah. That's the ticket. Tire pressure.

I never heard of someone bending a shifter. That's almost funny.

Yeah, I bet we're both right. Sounds like my kinda girl.

I am looking for a plain white Cue-ball for mine. Next time I anticipate getting thrown out of a bar, I'll grab one on the way out...

I found a junk yard truck that has one, but how the heck do you get it removed. Doesnt look like there any bolt or anything, and it just wount pull off, not even with some tapping with a hammer

How is it bent? Back and to the left? If so, I would bet it was done on purpose to get the shifter closer to the driver. If that's the case I would probably leave it. I plan on doing this to the shifter in my Explorer to get it a little closer.
