oh well

that is how I bought my 2006 F-150

MSRP of $44,000

told them I wanted the Costco Plan price and it was instantly $36,500 - $5,500 in rebates. of course I had to go spend $45 to get a membership real quick...but that was no biggie

another great purchase plan if you have a participating dealer...they don't play that game out here in Hawaii though.

I think he is only after the GT/CS and Shelby cars.

Either way, Ford is supposedly working on a Official Certificate like the Cobra got...hoping it will be out this fall. I'm going to pick that up and get it framed...otherwise, this car will probably be hanging out in my driveway for awhile
The Costco/Sam's Club and most other buying plans are at X-pricing as I discovered through my USAA membership. I asked to use either the USAA or Costco price and they said they were the same thing and would get me the lowest price without haggling.

Cars that are excluded are normally only high end mustangs, but I can get a discount (Very little compared to my F-150) through USAA on a Mustang GT Premium.

When i received my Ford stock package in the mail last year, I read somewhere in the package that you had to own xxx amount of Ford stock for xxx period of time before qualifying for an X-plan pin.

I joined the DAV, Disabled American Veterans and had a pin that day, June 16, 2010. There are some restrictions on the Ford Partner's X-plan program. For instance, I can get 2 pin's per calendar year. I can give a pin to an immediate family member provided they live with me.

X-plan does cap doc fees and it also negates transfer fees if the dealer has to source a vehicle for you.

I was shooting the breeze with the sales manager at the local dealer when I picked my Expy up from service. He said that since I left him for another dealer that he would use every bit of hold back money to get me back.

I may take him to task on that offer.

I don't get why everyone thinks X plan is such a big deal. It's $300-500 over invoice.

It's nothing to get the dealer invoice before you go in and offer them below invoice plus incentives.
It doesn't get any easier than that.

Exactly. Every time I've purchased a vehicle, I've seen the invoice with the X-plan price, and I've always beat it.

Spec the vehicle out, get the invoice price from Edmunds or KBB (which is actually invoice + holdbacks), and start there (minus applicable rebates, of course). The winning dealer is the one that will go the deepest into his or her holdbacks.

Personally, I've purchased the last few vehicles from a local dealer. They know me and treat me pretty well. His standing offer is $100 over invoice (still below X-plan), all rebates, no dealer adds or BS fees.

Oh if I could really buy a new truck instead of driving a worn out chevy and keep building them virtually.....It would only cost around $50K for a new one directly custom built from ford. Keep dreaming, Keep dreaming................

Need X Plan Pin Number

Hi All--

Does anyone have any additional X pin numbers they would be willing to share? I am trying to buy a new Ford and would appreciate any help.

Thank you!

Anybody also wanting to help support a sweet Ford website, if you own a Mustang, you can join the Mustang Club of America for $50 for a year. All you have to do is be a member for like 45 days and can use the X-Plan just as normal.

Also to those who say you can get below what the X-Plan offers, this is not an option for us who live in an area where trucks are always moving on and off the lot. The deals that you can get are the ones that nobody wants to buy and atleast in my area thats not the case at all. I was hard pressed to get the truck I got at the time. My dealer had to pull the truck from another dealer that was 4 hours away and I got X-Plan Pricing - 6k in Rebates and it was Delivered to my house. I would have loved to pick up a Lariat that some people get for less then what I get my truck for, but where I live they are sold pretty much the same week they get on the lot. Best of luck to anybody buying a new truck!

I'm actually working on a deal for a 2013 Ford F-150 FX4 leftover. The sticker price is 50K and I was able to get them down to 41K on it.

Is this a good deal?
