Hope they figure it out once and for all.

Hmm. . . I think i might have a similar issue. If I hammer down in any gear in any tune. . . as soon as that turbo makes its presence. . . the RPM's redline. . . . hmmmm. Oh wait thats the clutch that hates its life! Tell ya what, racing has changed my budget and its making it real interesting trying to pull the trailer to the track! I cannot wait to get a new clutch in it(again) so I can again have fun.

Edit: On a side note, I pulled into victory lane saturday night for the first time, after I won a heat race

Lugging the engine at 1500rpm? I'm sorry but that's an insult! I have a stock E99 and I drive in 5th around town at 40mph! Now that could be considering lugging the engine because I'm only running at 1K rpm but if I stomp it then it will accelerate, granted until it gets to about 17, 1800 rpm it doesn't take off but it accelerates at an acceptable rate and I get about 16 mpg around town and when in 5th gear I'm not expecting to need any rapid acceleration I am trying to "lug" it around town.
Now if he sets it at 1500rpm and stomps it and it doesn't accelerate like stock or better then you have a faulty product in my opinion and until this issue is resolved I will NOT buy a DP tuner. I want something that going to work as good or better than stock in the low rpms and take off like a pissed off rocket when the boost sets in.
You buy the DP tuner for a couple of reasons, more fuel efficiency and more power, not to drop your motor on it's face and with the multiple experiences that have been expressed on this page I would have to say that there is a DP problem that needs to be resolved and people need to quit pointing the finger at the fault of the engine or sensors or even at the users.
Bottom line, when the accelerator is punched while the vehicle is on lvl ground it needs to accelerate not stand still at a single rpm no matter the setting of the tuner.
The lack of acceleration also leads me to believe that the DP tuner is causing a loss of power at lower rpms and as it has been said needs to be fixed since all acceleration starts at a low rpm. The DP tuner is purchased mostly for the purpose of more power unless the economy setting is programmed as well but still with the economy setting it should NOT fall on its face, lugged or not!

What change did they make? This would be useful information for people that want to avoid or fix this problem.

I'm thinking that this is a question that is best asked of Jody.

Maybe but there apparently were quite a few people having the same problem and it erked me just a bit to have someone say that the truck was being lugged around at 1500rpm, no matter the speed.
Also, it's good to know that this is a resolved issue but it's also good to hear from the DP customers what the resolution is. It's understandable that it was a Cali tune vs an everywhere else tune. California screws so many things up that it's almost no surprise that the California vehicles need a special tune to unleash the 7.3 beast.
I would also like to hear from Jody as to why some trucks are experiencing these problem while others are not so that we might be more informed before we purchase from them so that we can get it right the first time.

I'm up to my beltline in crockigators at work, so it's going to be a couple of weeks before I can pull mine and send it back.

Problems here as well...On the stock setting with the new injectors-stage 1's it wont idle once it warms up among other things. I don't have the time to take the chip out and send it back. Gotta say, not all that impressed.....
