Why do I need to shorten my driveshaft?

Howcome I am needing to shorten my rear driveshaft about an 1.5inches after installed "Sky's" shackle flip kit on the rear leaf spring? Both the kits I have put in from ORU in the front and Sky in the rear have both costed me extra money that they didnt call for. ORU's kit raised my front end 2 inches higher than the rear, leading me to order Sky's rear flip kit to even things out again, and now I have to shorten my driveshaft because its friggen jamed right to the seal. Anyone else have to do this with Sky's shackle flip kit?

I have never heard of that. If anything you would have to lengthen the DS not shorten it

well i guess this is where the shop went wrong. Due to the new physics of the new shackle in the rear, when the vehicle is raised in the air, the axle has a tendency to locate more forward, hence shortening the span from axle to transfer case. So the shop thought that with the truck on the ground it would make the driveshaft even shorter, but in reality, with the way the shackle is now, the more weight on the truck, the more the axle will push back. So without a bed on the truck, I bet the driveshaft length is fine. But with this said, how abnormal is it that the driveshaft is jamming up when on a lift?
