symptoms of a bad injector

If it were throwing codes, would it not be causing the check engine light light to come on? This is not happeneing. I have not tried to scan it because I am not getting any indication that there would be anything to pull.
I was considering the 2-stroke oil approach to see if tht does anything.

You can (and do) get DTC's without a CEL (Check Engine Light)

No and there are several reasons for this and not totally unrelated either.
1. It could be a fault that happens once which would log an error but doesn't happen again to log the CEL, or depending on what the programming says how often or sever it needs to be to throw the CEL.
2. Manufactor specific codes tend not to throw CELs moreso then the generic emission codes that are common to all vehicles.
3. Since we are not OBD-II complaint, I think the threshold to throw CELs seems to be lower then it is with other vehicles.

That's true, there are some codes that aren't thrown. When my stock fuel pump crapped out it didn't throw a code or when it was losing pressure it didn't log a code. Some things don't throw codes. The double edged sword of not being OBD-II complient.
This is why I don't prefer to let my truck tell me when something is wrong and don't worry about it otherwise, why I like to have gauges all over the place. I bring that up because there was a user on the superduty forum with a 6.4 truck trying to say you didn't need aftermarket gauges and that whatever you need to know the vehicles computer well let you know about it. To an extent they will, but not on everything and when it is something that they will tell you about, it's usually to late and extensive damage has been done, which I like to avoid if at all possible.

my truck will run for a couple minutes then stall out. i crack the fuel filter cap on the engine and a lot of pressure is built of and sprays fuel and air all over the place. it also runs rough when could. believe the injectors are bad but the truck is dead on side of road now is this injectors doing this? or do i have a bigger problem? as soon as i release pressure it will run for a couple more minutes.

Were the filters before that stock or were they the same type of filters that you got?
