register it commercially, for over 10,000 lbs, and dont bother with inspection stations. my 88 has never been through a station., and as soon as the sticker on the 02 runs out, it is getting scraped off.
Its that easy? What about the weight rating on the title and door plate? You just make up a company name? And Corporation Code number?

I know for a fact they're gonna bust my chops about the listed items for sure but what do i do make it stock run it through for a good sticker then put it back to cool again? Ideally i could, but now i have to do it every two years (crap). If any you guys figured out a way to beat these jerks who only want us driving by the book fuel sipping suck mobiles---honda's,toyota's,nissan's--etc.. Please let me know. oh yea and i've checked into registering over 10,000 GVW but seems like i'm beat there too. Thanks for any info guys.
Go to your local service station that does DMV inspections, pay the 75 bucks, roll the windows down and Get-R-Done.

Your only fear is the local patrol that has had a bad day that will question the legality of your vehicle and give you 50lbs of paper tickets that you'll have to get a lawyer and go to court pay the fine and don't pass go or collect 200 dollars.

It's a crap shoot no matter what you do...

When I registered mine back in September, I had tinted front windows (not the list of extras you got) and I found a local station that told me "You had them tinted after I inspected it didn't you" "Yes sir I won't throw you under the bus, thank you very much have a nice day here's your 75 bucks"

when you go to DMV to re register it, tell them you want to register it as a commercial vehicle at 10,999lbs. the registration will cost you $156 for the year.then it becomes a self inspecting vehicle. if they ask you why you want it registered that heavy, tell them it is a diesel truck, and has a curb weight of 8,000 lbs, and you want to be able to tow a trailer legally.

you set the weight rating it is registered for. remember one thing. most diesel pickups on the road today are illegal, because if you don't give the counter person at DMV a weight, they will automatically register it for 5,000 lbs. and the average ford diesel pickup weighs over 6,000 lbs.

DMV does not ask for a company name or corp code if the vehicle is privately owned.

Jersey is cracking down hard on tint. You could get that truck passed in PA no problem. Just rent a PO Box and register it there.
