First off I’d like to say: WOW! The responses are all great. Keep them coming!
I would like to answer the questions that have been posted; I have been working on the truck since the end of April, 08. I used a cup type spray gun and the paint is from Devore. Enamel, Safety Red is the color.
Doug, I appreciated your comments most because you have experience. I had none, so for a pro to say I got it 90% right…Awesome! Thanks.
I do realize that the prep work is the key to a quality job. The problem, as we all know is striking a balance between time invested, money, cost of material, the mess, loss of your garage for months at a time…You guys know!
And even then, we all think our trucks are the greatest but they are only worth as much as someone is willing to write you a check for.
Lets be realistic, even if someone was a little drunk, there is no way I could get 3 grand for this truck!! Right!!??
So my goal was to get rid of the rust and shoot on a better coat of paint so it looks a little better when I wiz by on the street or trail. Mission accomplished!
Again, thanks for all the comments. It shows how passionate we all are about our Ford Trucks and this website.

Yes indeed, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED !!!! Congrats!!
I've seen worse work come out of a body shop, you did very well.
Not only is it looking good, with the driveline combination you've got you can enjoy driving it without crying everytime you visit the gas station! What do you have for an axle ratio? 3.73's really shine with that engine/tranny combination. Economy in OD, pulling power in direct.

It looks worse in real life- believe me. I have some new (used) door panels that I've painted with SEM, a perfect OEM dash pad (black) that will be painted with SEM as well as all everything else that's blue. I have a replacement ac vent and new carpet. I scored a couple of Camaro buckets that need to go from tan to blue that I'll probably do with Duplicolor vinyl and fabric, (at least for now- might reupolster later). I need a new XLT wheel and at least a cover for under the column, but I'm thinking whole new column. Thinking about recovering all the XLT woodgrain with carbon fiber covering. The truck is just sitting now, and I don't want to put in the new interior and let it bake in the Texas sun untill I get everything together and ready to go. Among the many flaws that don't show up in the picture is that the bench seat's foam is totally shot on the driver's side- one reason I got the buckets- (the other was they were free). I'm working on a stroker to throw in under the hood, so it will probably go like this; motor, radiator, modified trans, rear and suspension, then body work, new glass, paint, weatherstrip, and chrome. THEN- interior. One more mod not mentioned but a possibility- a custom fiberglass center console that will hide a NOS bottle and arming switch.
