ABS light flashing
Mark, there are MANY pages of diagrams in the Chilton's manual about the RABS light. I'll try to give you a hand, but am unfamiliar with the procedure myself. I've got the book here, so I can translate. Are you noticing the flashing as soon as you put the ignition key to start, or are you already troubleshooting the system using one of the procedures in a book?
There are references in my Chilton's book to 'Flashout Codes' and 'Pinpoint Test Codes' and 'Drive Test Codes' and 'Yellow RABS Light' and 'Red Brake Light'. It looks quite involved.

Mike,
Thanks for replying so promptly. The RABS light
doesn't come on straight away when you turn the
ignition key on or start the truck, it only comes
on when you the brake pedal is touched. The light
seem to flash solid & then starts to flash 16 times,
then it repeats over & over. l have checked & cleaned
all of the plugs which relate to the ABS system but
as yet have been unsucessful in locating the source
of the problem.
p.s. l haven't got a manual for my truck yet, but l do
want to get one, but l am unsure which would be the
best to get, any advise you could give me in choosing
one would appreciated.

ABS light flashing
Hi Mark:
Sounds like something weird is going on OK. I've never done any brake work on mine (yet) and am unfamiliar with those symptoms entirely. The book I've got is a Chilton's manual and it doesn't mention anything like that in it. I'm not fond of this manual at all, but it will do in a pinch. From what I've heard the Haynes manuals are a little better, but I've never really had much to say about either of them. If you've got the chance, I'd recommend going with the Helms manuals. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
I'll be away for several days, but will try to catch up when I get back.

ABS light flashing
Mike & Caseman,
l found the problem guys so thanks for trying to
help. I checked around with light tester & found that
there was no power going to my brake lights but the
fuse was'nt blown, it seems that the male clip in the
fuse block on the power out side of the fuse had come
out of its holder so it was not connected. As soon as
l clipped it back in the ABS light stopped flashing,so
l suppose these lights that flash & blink & stay on
do so for a reason, you just have to know what the heck
they're trying to tell us.
Once again thanks for trying to help it was very much
appreciated.
regards Mark

Howdy gentlemen,
Having the same issue with my ‘94, no power to the tail lights for brakes or signaling, and 16 flashes on the ABS dash light.
I see the solution posted above but having a hard time interpreting. All my fuses look good, all are securely seated. If it helps to know, I first noticed it when I plugged in a 7 pin trailer, and the problem persisted even now that I have disconnected the trailer. Lights on the trailer worked.
Thank you for any help!!
