48-50 F-1 dash pictures

Hi,

Well I managed to find a solid 1949 F-1, yes!
A previous owner was very kean on red carpet so it's everywhere. I tore it off the dash right away and I'm in the process of cleaning it.

I already found the correct instruments how ever I would like to see some pictures of complete and original 1948-50 F-1 dash boards for comparison. I need to figure out if I have some spots where I need to reconstruct.

The carpet treatment really was horid, glad you got rid of it.

Here are a couple of trucks currently listed on eBay. They are really nice truck but do have a couple of incorrect items but the dashes on both are pretty close to correct except for the radios and heater controls;

You know, you didn't have to remove the carpet to clean it, you couldda steam cleaned it in place....

You gotta wonder what was going through some of these peoples heads when they did their builds......Carpet on the dash, musta been done in the 70's....I'm just surprised it wasn't fluorescent orange ****......

I'm sure the truck is happy to have it removed as well........

Thank you all for all the pictures, highly appreciated.

If nothing else the carpeted dash has inspired to some great jokes. I might not have it out running yet - but I sure am having a lot of fun already :->

First shipment of parts came in this morning, can't wait to get to the garage to night!
