if there is power to the rest of the fuse box then I would
start at the back of the fuse box
most of the circuits run off of only 2 or 3 feeds

Thank's for the response, after a few hours out in the cold and snow I found a fusible link that was dead and fixed it up... but unfortunately I still have no brake lights, cruise control, or rear hazard lights... the turn signals in the rear still work, but not when you have the hazzard lights on, and the brake light's dont work either.... allready installed a new brake light switch as I was a block from the part store when I was told I had no brake lights and picked one up...

I am assumeing that the wiring under the truck should be OK as the turn signals still work...

thank's

now that you have power to the circuits the turn signal switch maybe bad
turn, brake, and hazzard lites all use the same element in the bulb
all are controled thru the t.s. switch
this may be where your problem is now
it is a common thing to lose a function at this point
the hazzards will over ride the turn signal
unsure if they over ride the brake but I dont think so

I would not asume that the wiring is good, I just had a similar problem in my dad's 86 f150. The cause was a bad ground. I asumed that power was the issue and spent two hours on it until i put the truck in reverse and everything lit up. The ground was bad in the harness and other wiring was brittle so I rewired the taillights. best of luck.

Problem Solved!!! The brake light wire in the turn signal switch was to blame.... a few to many years of flexin... I also noted that my RW ABS light no longer comes on above 60 or so km/h, didn't even think that they were connected problem but know I know for next time and the next person that has a similar problem...

Thank's to everybody for the help!
