you should tear the dash open and trace that, those lights might prove useful, never know what they may be connected to, they ever light up?

I got them from LMC. I don't believe they still carry them though. Ebay has them sometimes.

Hey my friend. No the lights never light up. The previous owner was an old man who believed in STRICT, REGULAR maintance and to never touch the truck (I'm surprised he even put a toolbox on it). Maybe the very first owner did it. Still, there are no signs of this truck ever being modded in any way, other than those lights.

Wait, I take that back. One of the owners did instal the tach.

There's no telling what this truck has seen. I think they has bucket seats in it at one time but took them out to sell the truck. I don't care about that though. Bench seats are more fun with the girlfriends.

Thanks for the compliment bro. Yeah I take real good care of my truck. Iv'e started making plans on redoing my whole front end spring, bushing, ball joints, arms, etc... after that then maybe a few performance mods nothing too fancy but who knows. Its funny you should mention the paint job I get sooo much crap from my friends at work, they say I drive around in a pink truck. I've been thinking about getting a nice paint job on it possibly black, maybe red, or like my old 85 F-150 pickup had Canyon Red (top), Metallic Silver (center), Canyon Red (bottom) I loved that truck too bad I wasn't into mechanic work like I am now I would still have her to this day.

I second that notion!

Speaking of bench seats, I've got almost the same cover as you, Bill, except mine is Mossy Oak. I bought it 'cause I was working as a truck mechanic at the time, and the old bedsheet to keep the grease off my seat was a royal PITA. I got mine at a discount store for like $10 or something like that. I've been out of that shop for about 3 months, but i kept the cover for the winter. It's starting to tear a little, but if it lasts a little longer, for what I paid I can't complain.

As a side note, I finally got my water temp situation figured out. The water pump, after 106,000 miles of service, decided to take its retirement. Actually, the pump itself wasn't bad, but the back plate had rotted out. Upon teardown, it appears it had been this way for some time, as there were remnants of Bars Leaks on the front of the timing cover, behind the pump. It was leaking from the small notch in the cover, I'm assuming because the Bars Leaks had let go. The ports for the heater hosed were almost completely rotted away. While I was in there, I put on a new lower rad hose, bypass hose, and a serpentine belt. I also cleaned up the front of the 'ol 5.0 a little and when I put it back together, I hit everything with some anti-sieze and used all new bolts.

Gotta keep the old girl runnin strong.

Heya Casey

I wanted Mossy Oak but that's what I could get. I paid more than I would have liked ( $40) but so far I love it. What I like about it is that I SLIDE in and out now.. I'm not doing near the damage to my seat. I'm hoping it will last longer.

Gotta love that anti-sieze. Just don't make the mistake if getting a drop on yourself. By the end of the day you'll be covered in it. LOL!

First off, awesome truck! I have the same thing with mine, its the gold.....I even had a color blind boss at one point that one of the colors he said he could see was pink, and he was sure my truck was pink. But I like the rarity of my colors, so I wouldn't change it.

I have a similar color combo and its what originally caught my eye to buy the truck.

It looks like we have the same colors just the location of them is reversed.

Another thing I completely agree with. To quote a good friend of mine "It's like baby s***, once you get a little somewhere you don't want it, it's everywhere!"

I forgot to mention before that I've got a steering wheel cover too. It's just a simple black psuedo leather deal with "FORD RACING" around it. If it wasn't winter and the inside of my truck wasn't a mess I'd take a picture. The weather here is driving me nuts in that respect because a dirty interior is one of my pet peeves. I can deal with the outside mess a little better, but it still bothers me. Hopefully I can do something about it this weekend, because for the first time in 3 weeks, the high temp here in my neck of the woods is supposed to be above freezing. I wanna run down to the carwash and at least vaccum the inside and blast some of the salt off the body.
