I WILL SEND YOU THE EASY TO UNDERSTAND WIRING INSTRUCTIONS SHOWING WHAT WIRES ARE MISSING AND WHERE TO HOOK UP THE MISSING WIRES TO MAKE THE CONSOLE DISPLAY ALL FUNCTIONS.
This console features a digital LCD multi- function display, compass, miles to empty, miles per gallon and outside temperature.
THIS CONSOLE HAS ALL THE FUCTIONS PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR, MILES TO EMPTY, MILES PER GALLON USED, COMPASS,
OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE TELLS YOU WHEN THERE IS A CHANCE
OF ICE ON THE STREETS.
Well ... I guess the answer will be here when I open the box.
I hope there's no copyright on simple e-bay ads

I guess he has two different kinds - I didn't realize that. That's a nice upgrade for the older super duty trucks to be able to get all the features working.
The one I ordered only had the temp and compass which is all that will work on the '05 to '07 super duty trucks because the computer is in the dash now.

Also there was a old thread where a FoMoCo parts discounter was offering an the overhead console with the MPG display for the SD, even saying that the '04 XLT (?) may have some wires for it. Never did see the price though.
Good luck.

Looks like a good solution.
The wife asks "So, are you about done fixin' up your Taj MahTruck?"
(I spent quite a bit on it lately. Bumpers, winch, front coils, RideRite rear, TruckTrunk, Upfitters, Husky mats, Hellas, seat covers, etc.)
"Uh.... Sure, Honey. That's it!"

Did you ever get the console yet?

Received my console today - I got the one with just the compass and temp gauge - well packaged and excellent instructions - hopefully I'll have time to install it this weekend and can take some pics. I need to pick up some wiring at the store to complete the install, but other than that it came with everything I need to hook it up. Very pleased with the quality of the unit and installation instructions. Great guy to deal with!!

But it's such a nice headliner. The anxiety level will be way up on this upgrade. Sorta' like cutting a 4" hole in the bed for the gooseneck hitch or punching holes in your roof for clearance lights. After measuring and checking and re-measuring ... nothin' to it but to do it and pray you got everything right. How much can a replacement headliner cost anyway?
Maybe I don't want to know that.
fdnlax and WildWest,
Looking forward to your install pics and and any hints you can share. Is there really, no-kidding, something above the headliner to attach the bracket to? I worry about what I can't see.

And yes, the roof does have supports built in that you can screw the console into. The ebay seller (Ol Bird) installed his in his '07 super duty and the pics are clear that the roof supports are there to screw into. To my knowledge, they haven't changed the roof in the Super Duty trucks - the older ones had the console as an option and the newer ones still need a place to install that goofy modular snap in rail overhead system in the '05 and up that you can attach a kleenex holder and rear DVD system to.
