WOW!! It sure has been awhile....
Hey guys and gals. Just poppin in to say Hi and fire a question at ya. I posted it in the fuel pump yada yada ection also, but I havent been here in ages so I dont know what's active and such, til I get some time to browse around the site again.
Ok, here's the deal. The other day I went out and my trusty 86 2.9 decided it didnt want to start. I have a little rig set up for making her go because I had some electrical issues a few months back. I have a 12 volt power supply to turn on the fuel pump relay manually, I guess I had a short somewhere. The little rig has worked up til the other day. Here's my question..... If I were to power the fuel pump through a switch manually, will the regulator and such still work without the relays working properly in place? And if someone could tell me what color the wire is that powers the fuel pump it would be appreciated. The truck isnt going to last much longer, she has nearly 400000km on the body and about 300000km on the little motor. She still runs rather well, other than the lousy wiring job that was done before I bought the little beast.

Not sure what the problems are but you could check the electrical connection that looks likeit goes nowhere and make sure that one of those is grounded correctly its on the passenger side on a ranger 3 in a row nd one on top I think that it is the one on the right you need to ground when looking at it with the single terminal on top.
