Rochester 2GC carburetor on 1935 Flathead?
I wanted a auto choke carburetor for a custom car I'm building.
I picked up a Rochester 2GC carburetor, with automatic choke.
and the Speedway three bolt to four bolt adapter
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/808,...r-Adapter.html
I read they used the Rochester 2GC on 1953 Mercury Flatheads and Speedway recommended it for the adapter I bought on their Web site.
Hopefully this will work on a stock 1935 Ford flathead engine. It has the Mallory electronic distributor on it also. Thought I would post this for any comments before I blow the engine up for trying, or possible problems... anyone else use other type carbs?

I don't know why your plan wouldn't work but I haven't messed with the early engines very much. For the mother-lode of flathead information and another bunch of great guys try this:

Especially browse thru the links on the left side margin and pay special attention to rumbleseat's tips and the techno page.
