Custom serpentine belt size (123 - 127")?

I am looking for a 6 rib serpentine belt that is 123 - 127” long. Any belt in that range will work. However I cannot find one anywhere. Gates does not make one. Does anyone know where I can get a belt this size?

You would be looking at either the PK2136 or PK2190

E-mail them: cnfulo@cnfulo.com

The PK2190 is only 86" long. I would need the PK3411 which is 124" long. Anyway it seems they are not based in the USA and they don’t sell directly to consumers. Any other ideas for me? I know there is someone in the USA that makes belts this size.

What application are you gonna use it in? You might try Dynacraft, they are the OEM for Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks. Go into a truck dealership and ask.

I built an alternator braket to hold three alternators for my Excursion and thus need the long belt.

Do they even make serpentine belts? Because they only have V belts listed on their website. http://www.dynacraftnet.com/products.asp

Yes, they make serpentine belts. That page you put in your link doesn't list even 1% of the stuff they carry.

Standard 6 rib. Aren’t all 6 rib belts the same width? Anyway it would be the width of the stock serpentine belt on the 6.8L V-10. Its going in my Excursion.

Lightbulb Solution if you do a little work.

You might think this unconventional.
Take a wider serpentine belt and a utility knife and shave 1 or 2 grooves off of a belt.
Gates K081251 is 125 5/8" long 8 groove
K071247 is 125 3/8" long 7 groove
Custom runs of a belt sound expensive to me.
BTW that K081251 fits 2003 & 2004 Excursion -w- 6.0 Diesel.
Good-luck i'm just trying to help.
Rich.

This ^^^^ was the idea I was leaning towards... I had/have slew of Gates Dist.Catalogs in front of me... I think I counted 25-30some odd belts that fit the overall length criteria. Tho, some of the 6-rib (indust. serp.) measured anywhere from .625"- 4"wide.

I thought all 6 rib serpentine belts were the same width. Anyway what is the standard width for a normal automotive 6 rib serpentine belt such as the ones used on Ford trucks? What are the model numbers of some of them? Gates told me they dident make one.

Will doing this compromise the integrity of the belt? Because the belt is going to be put under a lot of stress. It has to turn three 205 amp alternators, the fan and water pump, power steering, A/C, three idlers, and the tensioner. Would it cause squealing problems?

I wasn't exactly looking at Automotive belts...
Knowing that Gates "Industrial" ...Polycogs and other makes do well in our High-output/Long-term endurance testers, and they also have a nice variety of belt sizes. So Im sure there is something there that will work.

I assume you looked for a alternator manufacture that can cater to your needs w/out having to go this *special* route?

I'll look through a more catalogs, I'll let you know if I find something.
Happy hunt'n...!
