i vote for halting further discussion until we hear back from mike L. no need to speculate until we get some feedback about all these questions. otherwise, this will turn into a crossflow or some other discussion.

Thanks guys,

For some reason I didn't get any of your replies sent to my email box. I filled my rear tank and wrote down the milage. When the truck started missing that's how I got 160 miles. I called ford and there was no fuel tank recall on my truck. My fuel gauges both work fine. My rear tank is about 18.1 gallons.

What should I try for tune up, first? I don't the tune up history, should I get Ford to check and clean the injecters.

Just got 224 miles out of a full rear tank on my 94 F-150 Fireside, By running it until it fluttered, I'm happy with that, All in town short trips, Truck is new to me, But has 235,000 documented miles, Truck runs strong, Injected 302 Auto, Not sure what rear end, Overdrive even works great around town. 3" exhaust doesn't hurt ether.

I don't know about the rear tank but I've gotten ~600 out of both by driving like my grandma from Cheyenne to Albuquerque with a 302 long bed 2 door 4wd 5 speed
