How many miles is too many?

I am looking at a 2003 F-250 PSD with the Torkshift. It has 140K on the clock.

Is that a lot of miles to be paying 20K for it?

It's a lariat crewcab.

TorqShift, not Torkshift.

My brother picked up a 2003 F250 PSD CC FX4 Lariat Millenium Edition all black w/ the tan interior with 86k miles for about $24k in January 07.

I just pulled a CARFAX and the same person has owned the truck it's whole life. That's probably a good sign.

How many miles can one expect to get out of a 6.0L and a Torqshift <-(hehe)

I will probably be paying on this for 5.5 years.

Can you get a warranty? I know repairs are expensive plus having a monthly payment.
Is it a 4x4?
In exellent condition around 25k in a 4x4 and 23k 4x4. Thats kbb.

It is a 4x4. I know what you mean about repairs. I just got my F-250 gasser back from the shop for $2k worth of front axle seals and ball joints. Had I only known, I may be getting rid of it, I'd have held off.

I only owe 45 more payments on it.. lol

My 04 with 54,000 miles I paid 24k. F350 srw cc lwb lariat with carpet delete. The carpet delete was the selling point for me. It was between the 04 & 06. The onlt diffrence the 06 saw swb and 06 had 60,000 miles for 30k. Im glad i chose th 04.

03 KR cc with 130,000. I love mine! The with proper care the motor is good for 400,000.

the 03 6.0 had problems at the start, but with that many miles everything should be taken care of.

About 6 weeks ago. Got an Oasis report from here. It showed no real issues untill this year when a couple of injectors and the turbo was replaced.

Just pulled my 28ft travel trailer approxiamately 300 miles round trip with no troubles. Just need to change oil and fuel filters since I am not sure of maintainence of truck.
