well I found the 4 way and got the top poped off somehow but there was only one flasher in there... is the signal flasher elsewhere?? Is there only one??

for 2002 super duty there is only 1 unit; the flasher and turn signal r 1 and the same unit
at least chilton's and haynes say so..........

thanks... so if my flashers work that means as far as the flasher is concered the turn signals should blink???

thats what i am thinking... while looking for the "two" flashers I tried the turn signals and nothing now??? I guess I will just wait till the dealer tells you whats wrong?

I'm telling u for the 2002 there is only one relay for the flasher and turn signal.........

Yes sir I understand that now.. The parts folk are nuts. They are the one that told me there was two. When you told me where it was located I only found the one and then you told me there was only one.. Thank you so much.. I would still be looking.. Didn't you say above you had a date the the dealer Thursday? I would really like to know what they say.

Yes it turned out to be the flasher afterall. My old flasher made noise but was not working. A new flasher fixed it..

Most likely a bad mutlifunction switch (I think that's what they call it). It's the lever that turns on the turn signals and wipers.
