06 6.0 Surge FIXED
#18
Yes yes yes
My truck has developed a surge/ rough idle that is very intermittent. It only does it once ever week or 2 and last for the night and then goes away. I have tried to be very observant while driving and it doesn't seem to be caused by any specific driving habbits. If anyone can, will you listen to the video and see if it is like what you have experienced and cured? I replaces the exhaust back pressure sensor and don't want to keep throwing money at it guessing. No codes have ever been present, no check engine lights or anything.

6.0 surge
Mine was a short in the pigtail that goes to the ICP sensor. It took forever to figure out as there were no codes. I replaced the pigtail and problem solved. It’s almost definitely either your ICP or your IPR but most likely it’s the ICP or the pigtail going to it.

It thoroughly scans for codes.
