Well did it this way post that says bat on coil to positive of battery . Post says dist on coil to distributor I grounded block connecting negative post of battery to engine block. Then powered the starter engine cranks but no spark coming from coil to distributor
The resistor pases the power and I can se light is no that bright when test power after resistor don't know If has to see with no spark. Can I run wires direct from battery instead using my old harness how do I do that
The resistor drops the voltage to the dizzy so the lite will be dim if you are looking for 12v. You can supply voltage to the low voltage side of coil,but if you are getting it now, then that is not needed as it comes from the run position of the ignition key.
Yea I will check points and condenser also wire from coil to distributor to make sure everything is fine ill do it thus weekend. Thanks and let you guys know
