I had 150K on mine (assuming its the original) when I had the BTS build done to it. And I know for sure that the last 50K were run with a programmer or chip, not sure about before that. I would say I'm not easy on it either. It was starting to slip in second. I was also at BTS when Brian did the build on it, and most of my clutches were quite burned up, especially the OD clutches.
I had my Transmission go @ 120,000 but I bought it with 100,000 and was hoping it would have made it farther that that. I replaced it with a Jasper rebuild with warranty. Many talked about BTS But I needed to get it back on the road quick.
i have 181k and still hauling the mail here. daily driver and daily towing as well. everyone in a while i will get a gross combination of 23k. so far i am satisfied with the tranny. when it craps out i will get one from brians truck stop.
Mine just turned 198K. I try to follow the schedualed maintance. I also have pulled my fifth wheel (about 13K pounds) for about 2K miles Thany still running good.
And if so, did they just follow the Ford recommended maintenance schedule?
I Put 203,000 on my Original. No I didn't follow the Schedule. I had it Flushed at 141,000 or so, that's it. It was still working Fine when I got the BTS. It threw a TC code and thought it might need a new TC. No need putting a New TC in a Tranny that has 203,000 miles that has been abused. After the BTS was installed the TC code came back.
The HPOP blew up about a week later, After a new one no more TC codes. Love the BTS but it wasn't needed at the time!!
