Hi Russell,
My books show 112,082 1959 F-100 Stylesides were produced. Unfortunately, none of them break it down as to how many of those were Custom cabs, or short bed. You may be able to obtain that info from Ford, but I'm not positive. I had heard that a lot of these records were destroyed in a fire. It's certainly worth a try though. I strongly urge you visit Stockman's 1967 F-series registry (great site!). I believe he has info on his site that tells you how to go about obtaining this sort of info from Ford. Sorry that I couldn't be of more help here.

Do you know any info about this fire? if ya dont mind, i would love to put a quote or something from you or anyone on my ite, with your permission, of course. No problem. Here is the address of his site: http://www.ford-trucks.net/users/stockman/ Tell him Kenny sent ya.
His site is actually dedicated to the '67 F-series, so you won't find the '57-'60 info there, but he is in the process of helping me set up a '57-'60 site. It's not all there yet (my fault!). I seem to remember that "request from Ford" info on his site (before he upgraded his site). If you visit the site though and contact him, I believe he may be able to point you in the right direction.
As far as the fire that destroyed some old records is concerned:
I had only heard about it and I can't remember from whom or where so I cannot say for certainity that it is even true at this point (I don't want to be a rumor starter).

well i sold my 59f100 to body shop guy?? and have been collecting parts for 57 to 60's for years now??? and its always the same, no we dont have many parts for those years ?? why ?? three not popular ??? why not ?? because they cant make enough from parts to reproduce parts for 57 to 60's,
i see alot more of these trucks on the net and around ?? and i had somebody tell me they'r ugly ??? lol but i am getting mine done as we speak and , it hasnt been easy ,
so kenny ,, we need a good group to support these years, without all the immature comments from the trendy ones ??? some day ?? , i may want to soon be selling some of my parts ?? but not just,, yet

ya, about that other thing 58f100 brought up....i remember kenny or someone saying that a website that would be made just for the 57-60 series. i would love to be a part of that. Thats a good point 58f100, i agree with you. 56's, i hate to admit, are fading out, and these series are starting to come into play. California, they are everywhere! well, thanks again kenny, for doing that for me, hope to hear from you.
