'59 glove box door spring-how to install?

I'm nearing completion of my '59 and while digging through the "misc. parts" box, I came across a pair of glove box door springs that I purchased from Sacramento Vintage Ford.

Does anyone know how these go on the glove box? I sitting in my truck with them in hand looking at the glove box and I'll be darned if I could figure out how the heck they go on!!!

Thanks FTE's,
Daryl

'59 glove box door spring-how to install?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 10-Dec-02 AT 12:15 PM (EST)]Thanks for the offer, but I just received feedback from Kenny that has a picture of the spring from inside the glove box. That should do nicely. I appreciate the offer though....

'59 glove box door spring-how to install?

Hey Mine were a pain to install. The first step is unscrew the lining.
Then you have to pull the old one out( I don't know how hard this is because one of mine was missing) but then comes the fun part it took me 5 mins to figure which one I had goes where. Then I spent a good 10 mins trying to depress mine to get it to go in. It kept getting caught the one end, in the hole because of the angle it was at when I depressed it. Lets just say I used the pliars to bend them in. I don't think there that hard to put in I think it was the installer I only installed one because when I bought my truck every time I hit the gas it would pop open. I found out there was only one spring. The one I installed works fine. Hope this helps.
