So tired of getting cut off on the road....

I found the new thing to show my digust with people that cut me off on the highway. 152db of horn power .....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/152-D...34049960QQrdZ1

I would love to see the look on peoples faces when they hear the sound of a train horn behind them. I only worry how many accidents it would cause....

Looks nice, Ill soon be witnessing the look of terror on the faces of the ones who cut me off. Im about to mount 2 24" grover firetruck horns on my truck. Found them on e-bay for $80, their in good shape too.

Very nice. I don't know what it is about this truck but everone thinks I either am going to race them off the line or challenge me somehow on the road via cutting off or what not.

They seemed to get out of the way more when I was in my 1/2 ton chevy with 33's than they do with this beast and 35"s makes no sense to me.

Take note that it requires onboard air compressor and tank. Also, with air powered horns, the greater the air pressure, the louder they are. That 152db is rated at it's max allowed pressure. You can get a lower pressure compressor and it won't make them as loud.

That can be some funny stuff. There's a video floating around where guys in a car w/ video camera running just rolls up on people walking down the sidewalk, parking lot etc, then lays on the train horn!!! Scares the heck out of 'em! Hilarious!

Yea I noted the air compressor needed. Its a down the road project though . I am going to add it to the list of to dos.

First you use the loud horn when they cut you off, then when you casually pass them later, you do it on the smoke setting.

Devils advocate: I love the things. I'll say that. I especially have an appreciation for the original Nathans that places like Hornblaster sell.
I'd get a ticket here every time I punched it though. Fun as they are, a municipality that frowns on those can make your world unhappy. One of the nice things about being here is nobody honks for nothin. Those few that do, unless it's an emergency, cops just write them a ticket. Darndest thing.

there's a good collection of diesel (locomotive) air horn sounds at:

http://www.dieselairhorns.com/collection.html

(it would be nice to have a Nathan or a Burnett on an F-Series :-)

Here's a really big set mounted in the bed of a truck:

That video made me bust a gut HEHE. I bought a set of those "152 db" horns from ebay before, and was disapointed because they are higher pitched than I like. The video guy sounded like he had a set of Nathan K5LA's, the same pitch as Amtrak, hence the "A". If you want real train sound, get a real train horn, there is nothing you can buy in ebay that will sound like it, unless of course you get a train horn. Next best step and most economically feasible is a good set of 24" Grovers, everyone knows what a fire engine sounds like!

Those videos are funny... until you find the wrong person who returns your honking with a few rounds of 9mm...
