How to Read Vacuum Diagram??
What are are these abbreviations?
A/CL BI MET ?
VOTM ?
VDV ?
SOL ?
VCV ?
Also, can somebody tell me how all the hoses from the carb are supposed to be routed? I inherited a mess under the hood and am motivated to straighten it out. Any help is MUCH appreciated!

Check for a white sticker on the passenger side valve cover.
Shown on the top left corner of this page.

Get me those numbers from it or at least describe what you have.
You give any information whatsoever.
I have 55 diagrams alone for the 351M in 78.
Scrolling halfway on this page of mine will show you the acronyms you requested.

Very Helpful Thanks!
You have some great info on your page! I didn't even know where to start looking, thanks.
I have:
1979 Ford F-150 Pickup
302 5.0L
Auto
No A/C
Non-CA
2WD
2bbl Motorcraft 2100 or 2150 Carb
There's no Thermactor or Air Bypass Valve. The EGR is not hooked up. And other vacuum hoses are in poor condition or questionably routed. I just finished rebuilding the carb; new plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor, pcv valve; tested all ignition components; timing is on.....and it still runs like crap.

So, yeah...Mab45678: Welcome to FTE. This is the place to find help, for sure!
When you decide what engine you have, do as I did, and click on the link in post #4.
Now scroll back until you find the frame that applies to your engine. Simple as that.
Hope this helps! Please don't thank me; all thanks should go to Mil1ion for posting the link.
Actually, l have been looking for this information myself. Hopefully this will help others as well.
