Also when you put the CPS in, was it a brand spanking new one? Also did it set correctly and were the contacts and such all clean?

Lastly....does it die ONLY when raining and/ or really damp outside, or just whenever it feels like it?

Thanks for responding back medic 66. Yes I put a new one in. I will double check the contacts. What kind of cleaner should I use for the contacts??

I do recall a few weeks ago that one fella had actually bought a NEW one and it was bad. Anyways, when they did mine for me, they used a little rubbing alcohol and swabbed it down with a q-tip taped to the end of a pillow as I recall.

What about rain? Does it do it when it is raining or wet out or just whenever it feels like it?

Are you thowing any codes ?? Mine continued "dying" after changine the cps. Turns out step 2 in the ford repair manual says to change "Engine Wiring Harness" kinda pricey i am tryning to locate the intermittant short. But cleaning all of the connectors with "Electro-Motive" from autozone helps alot. it has not done it in a week now.

Another thing to think about is the TPS. I noticed that you said you would "loose throttle power", if the tach is still responding it is not a cps related issue.
