Does the 6.8l v10 have the same motor mounts as the 5.4l/4.6l?
I was just curious, does the V10 have the same motor mounts as the 5.4l and 4.6l, and will their transmissions interchange? I figured that the 6.8l was heavily based on the 5.4l, only by the fact that 6.8/10=0.68, 0.68x8=5.44
lol, I didn't check to see if they had same the same bore, stroke, etc. So I made an uneducated guess
-I was just wondering.

Actually, I do believe that the V10's motor mounts are the same as the 5.4's, which are the same as the 4.6L.
The extra two cylinders are just added on the front.
However, I just checked, and for the Superduty, the 5.4 and the 6.8 have different part #'s for the motor mounts. Whether or not they have to be stronger for the V10, I'm not sure.
The only way to tell? take a tape measure down to your Ford dealer, and see if you can find a v10 and a V8 and measure from the rear engine mount bolt to the bellhousing. If you can't find a V10, do it to a V8, and I'll measure my V10

This seems to be a dead thread, but i came across this in my research to put a 6.8l in a crown vic. 5.4l measurements from back of block, where the bellhousing mounts to, to the edge of the forward engine mount hole: 13 1/8th" on driver side, 13 1/2" on passenger side. Hopefully someone can measure a V10 block and share those measurements to see if the mounts are in the same location lol.
