Thumbs up 4.9 hp/torque rating

work at a shop and just finished a month long fix up job on a 1989 F150 2wd w/ 4.9. we also have 3 other 4.9's in our fleet and this one is the higher mileage one and runs the best but the question is what is a rough hp/torque rating for the 4.9. i took this thing out after getting it driveable and this thing power brakes better than my '73 f100 w/ the 360. anyways it's a fun motor and i know it's tough. thanks

The efi 300's have 145 hp and 265 ft lbs of torque at 2,000 rpms.

The EFI 145 hp is at 3400 rpm. So the optimum power band is 2000 to 3400. Keeping to the higher end of that range, i.e., runing 2600 to 3600 is faster than running 2000 to 3000 on a gear. My '95 seems to come alive at 2000 rpm. I never felt that with my old carbed 300s.
